She catches herself but man.. lol

This author has secured their spot in my rotation and I'm not even done with the book. There are times I'm rolling my eyes or yelling at these characters.. but not because of poor writing for the character's decisions. But rather I'm reacting as a reader with insight and sympathy for the character's position.

This woman was built different.
... or brain washed.
Either or, I'm intrigued
