While the male doctor seems progressive .. I am struggling to see how even someone with progressive for that time period would think to give credit or think that the male detectives would take serious the theories of a woman that is a servant. Because he could be progressive for his time but realize that the detectives wouldn’t really take a female servant as seriously as they do himself.
