I don't think this book is long enough for Matt to be able to successfully go on his healing journey. How is he going to successfully beat his alcohol addiction and stop blaming himself for the death of his and Sarah's daughter Eve so quickly?

Matt and Sarah are not close to their journey of healing but I've almost finished the book. Also Sarah hasn't been nearly as child-like as she was in the first book but she's still such a one-dimensional character. However this came out years after Rosalee station and I can see the improvement in the author's writing. It's more like the writing I'm used to from her.

This is so sad. I can't imagine what parents who have lost a child go through but I can feel Matt and Sarah's pain.
