Lulabelle 3 I’m gonna miss her..
I think the way female relationships are portrayed in this story is so beautiful, so loving and kind it makes me sad but in a warm way

Having a Character like Vernice who had a tragedy in a small, secluded town where there weren’t enough people to have these same experiences, so she feels particularly pitiful, and putting her into the real world where people experience tragedies everyday is so interesting. I wish she would stop being so self-pitiful but it’s all she really knows. I want her to grow

Quarter point, I think I’m trying to search for something to latch on to

I’m honestly interested to see where it goes, but I am seeing the usual critiques of stories that spread a life-span? I wish it would get to the main story, not to say I’m bored. It’s more like I’m really just not seeing where this is going

It’s so clear that Vernice has feelings for Alice without ever herself realizing it, but I think Alice herself has had her mind running, so focused on the future, to the point she doesn’t have the chance to truly process any of her own feelings. She knows she cares for Vernice but that’s all

Not only being able to write children, but being able to characterize them in two different ways that reflect their personalities and how those mix in with the situations they have been put in and the people they are raised by.. how lovely

The characterization of these little girls is so cute and feels quite true tor life. So smart but just unknowing of things, oh I just think they’re so sweet
And Aunt Irene I think is characterized also in a very loving way and it is a representation of a religious person that doesn’t feed into the typical one of hatred
