At first I thought it was just a fucking serial killer like maybe Dan's dad or whatever but name dropping a random crypdid and the ghost shit like I thought it was atmosphere and vibes but no. WHY can Dan see them? I think he was born a shiny new year or smthn, I dont get Hannah i guess she was just chosen cuz shes a hermit? A lil dumb ngl. This book is a genuine nightmare. The first half was boring but now its getting good. I hate that it was paced like this tho, the first half slogged i nearly quit. But my goodness this is horrifying, just the intense brutality and psychological horror what theyre describing. Like cannibalism?? The shadows are neutral but bad. And Danny is staying in The Stanley like the real Danny Gonzalez. Eyyy reference. Im tirrred

Whyyy are we still setting the scene? This feels like chapter 1 bullshit but we are 1/4 done. Things have happened sure but i dont care about 2 sets of parents for 1 guy, and his ex wife and new boyfriend ontop of a murder mystery its too much shit to keep track of. Just front loading this book with info dumping is terrible, I like the supernatural stuff like shadows and bad feelings. Thats cool. But stick to murder
