completely agree omg, i have better luck with epic poetry but, poetry in general isn't my thing. the odyssey seemed worse asw... lit can't think of anything i liked (maybe i should change it to a one-star rating). and yeah, the translation thing makes sense, but the odyssey's story was so bleh.
I read this 3 years ago for a book club and I don't remember much, just that I apparently found Odysseus to be a huge asshole 😆

tbh im like a toddler, i need things to at least rhyme. i don’t even remember odysseus doing anything impressive besides being late and lying. at least w fry retellings one can have a laugh
