every single page this author takes her time to take us out of the story by making sam or dianna wax poetry about the other saying some corny shit in their internal thoughts which 1. does not move me at all. 2. it’s so unnecessary

something that i’m noticing is the fact that kaden and isaiah are being labelled as the type of ‘misunderstood’ villain meanwhile the actual irredeemable villains in this book are women. and now we’re introduced to another female villain whose whole villain origin story is her being samkiel’s scorned lover??? are we noticing a pattern here?

we need to talk about this books lack of realism. let me get this straight: while possessed you almost killed your ‘mate’ and afterwards, after escaping you’re going to eat breakfast like nothing happened??? all this trauma happens with no consequences. it’s like the author is writing conflict just to write something, with no resolution or aftermath

the more we go back to the pov of this child i understand that it’s an excuse to drag these books out
