holy shit i did it

ok i read a bit yesterday and i finally got to my first checkpoint. that i was supposed to be at 1 month ago

so. im gonna read for 4 hours straight to hopefully get through the next 92 pages.

alright lock in and read your 32 pages everyday ok honey?

idk why i chose this book its making me second guess on my relationship philosophy

“But these are the kinds of particulars that men would care about.”

the more i think about it the more this makes sense to the time period. women were meant to be wives who could cook and clean. their role was just that, nothing more, which meant that it wasn’t accepted of them to ask questions about inconsequential details. that sort of stuff was up to the men

reading the third sister trying to escape from the foot bindings…man

need to finish my 36 page quota today…need to finish quota…

anyways im only a page in but im wondering if her being a widow caused any scorn from other people to be directed at her, cuz i know in some places around china they had widows killed alongside their husband. which makes me think they didnt like widows back then.

that along with what woman dealt w/ back then..im curious. mayb theyll talk abt it
