Chris Giles I have a copy of this somewhere on my shelf, have yet to properly dive in. Is it an honest to goodness nonfictional account, or is it more like a novel peppered with true-to-life foundations? Regardless, I hear it’s scary as hell.

Austin I haven’t read this since middle school, but I’m about halfway thru in less than a day (page-turning stuff), and I believe it’s is non-fictional as claimed. Annie Jacobsen (author of “Nuclear Scenario, which I HIGHLY recommend) has a new one out soon about a fictional but plausible mass-casualty pandemic event that ought to scratch that speculative itch. As old as THZ is, definitely still relevant, and uniquely terrifying to read post-pandemic. Definitely still worth the time.
