Clint has successively shot important films such as Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Gran Torino and Invictus. Each of them is special in its own way, small in budget, but big with a message. This phase, in which he mainly films based on real events, did not pass without controversy on the part of Spike Lee. His private life was marked by the death of his mother, as well as California politics.

For Clint '03 and '04 films Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby won a total of 6 Oscars, the latter for best film and director. This was another proof that the master knew how to make movies with a small budget that have solid foundations behind them, a great story and perfect actors who feel fulfilled on the set. And with that, he managed to record a documentary episode about the Blues.

Clint, already an icon, went to receive lifetime achievement awards at numerous festivals during breaks between filming. In addition, he was always ready to defend the honor of himself and his family by suing journalists who brought up unverified and malicious details of his life. But he was also always up for a joke, as in Space Cowboys or the proverbial seriousness in Blood Work.

Clint's stardom had its joys, such as going to the Bohemian Grove, an exclusive club for rich men, where all sorts of things happened. There were also celebrations in his honor at Carnegie Hall, where he himself played, and the naming of the music hall on the WB campus. But besides finally being a quiet family man, he employed his family on projects like Absolute Power and True Crime, which were so-so successes.

Lawsuits, love, marriage marked the next phase of Clint's life. He sued newspapers for false interviews, and Sondra sued him for financial fraud. He also remarried Dina Ruiz and had another child, 8, with six different women. He also tried producing other films and series, but concluded that if he didn't act or direct, it wasn't worth the effort. Although he didn't film, he won numerous awards from the AFI and AMPAS.

Clint is already in his 60s, but he still continues to work full-time. He also had a daughter, Francesca, and also revealed that he has a 39-year-old daughter and two grandchildren. A Perfect World with Kevin Costner and The Bridges of Madison County, and while the former was a flop, the latter is confirmation that Clint is an equal star on and off the screen, across all genres.

Every time Clit's career was going downhill, it would soon soar into the stratosphere. Now was with The Unforgiven. Eastwood waited about 10 years to be ready to make this masterpiece and it really paid off. Classically efficient and strict, he managed to make one of the best films of this subject of all time, which deservedly collected numerous awards. And soon followed another success, In the Line of Fire.

The next few films were more of less flops. Bird, Pink Cadillac, White Hunter Black Heart all had their strengths and weaknesses, but Clint was so famous that nothing stuck to him. This was best seen in his breakup with Sondra Locke, where he literally threw her out onto the street overnight. Such rudeness shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering how he treats the other women in his life.

Balancing the mayor's job and his film career wasn't easy, but Clint delivered on all the promises he made to himself in his two years as mayor of Carmel before retiring. Heartbreak Ridge and The Dead Pool, are two of the projects he managed to make, and both were somewhat successful because why change a formula that works, but as he got older, he cut back on action movies. So he directed the movie Bird.

Clint promoted new film Pale Rider in Cannes. Also, he ran for and won the election for mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, a place where he had lived for 15 years. He did this to bring his sanity back, and the campaign itself was followed as if it were a presidential election, and Reagan even congratulated him on his election. In his private life, he was flirting and having new children, and was possessive with Sondra.
