Last chapter as family filled Gareth retirement from ManU was also nicely done. Everyone is happy with families, Sloan and Gareth with a 4 week old boy and he adopted Sophia to make her a Harris. Great end for the series. Bonus chapter about dad Vaughn and mom Vilma meeting wasn’t needed but the post humous letter from her being the real inspiration for him to save family with football wasn’t his, but her idea.

Cool World Cup final win for England and the brothers. Very well written chapter, honestly. Great lcd among them and for the game and country. But for Gareth, he loves Sloan and Sophia more so he said he would retire at the end of his contract (1 more year) with Manchester United then move the family to London for Sloan’s potential in fashion and his charity and extended family.

She came back for him, he recovered with her daughter, then proposed with his mom’s ring! (So sad since she was his “best friend” during her dying of cancer). Super quick wrap up that ahole competitor Vince hired Hobo’s same robbers to attack Gareth so it just looked like a robbery. Stupid resolution to that plot line. Also, Sloan gave ex the money she got from his mom just to make him leave her be.

Margaret gave a ton of money to Sloan but even more in a trust for her daughter. A woman’s woman who saw the error of her ways with her ex daughter in law!

Thatta girl, Margaret! Old meanie grandma on ex’s side is going to help get Sloan near full custody of Sophia since she’s disappointed in her son (who is now engaged to his mistress).

Beach memorial/wake for mom Vilma was really touching and healing (but no tears from me), as was Vi and Hayden’s wedding with Gareth giving her away vs dad (his offering). I’m asking where we go from here but we still need to wrap up Sloan’s ex situation and who robbed/attacked them. I got the feeling they are related to force him to jail hence removing custody issue, but that would be dumb.

They are all on vacation together. Sloan opened up to family about daughter’s cancer, and Harris patriarch Vaughn is being so open and caring, so Gareth lost his shit on him at dinner about his hypocrisy vs his parenting after their mother died. Happy that it was finally said to him out loud but also want Vaughn to be able to grow and heal.

This is perfection so far. Back to yearning and real feelings, strife over the attack and his concussion, him being weak for her. They are headed on the beach wedding-wake vacation now after 3 weeks apart from the media frenzy.
