God’s anger requires provocation; his mercy is pent up, ready to gush Forth. We tend to think: Divine anger pent up, spring-loaded; Divine Mercy is slow to build. It’s just the opposite. Divine Mercy is ready to burst forth at the slightest prick.

Friendship is a two-way relationship of joy, comfort, and openness, that appears, as distinct from a one-way relationship, such as in that of King, the subject or parent to child.

In Jesus Christ, we are given a friend who will always enjoy rather than refuse our presence.
