there's "nice" kind of nice and then there's "so nice your horses weep when you die" kind of nice

I've never had my heart pound while reading before but this is SO thrilling and SO dreadful (in a good way) at the same time. And this is when I already know what's going to happen.

I first planned on reading Fagles' translation after I finished the Pope one, but I decided to read them at the same time after all. I've heard Fagles is a lot "looser" with his meter and more accessible which would contrast nicely with Pope's pretty, restrained convention
