Oh wow. The man just keeps getting better and better... He tells her she mustn't go riding alone (there's an assassin after her, but we couldn't possibly tell her that...) by saying "as your suitor, I do have some say in the matter". He's "expressively forbidding" her. That's just... Lovely. I think I'm done here...

She'd caught him off guard, the need so achingly apparent in her eyes that even Iron Will could not say no. He could take some relief in the fact that he'd left her maidenhead intact.

I'm sorry. Am I supposed to applaud him for that?!?

But hey. After all, he *might* love her and he's just not good enough for her! AND he has to lie to her to keep her safe! Poor thing. Breaking my heart here...

Oh good grief. Like avillain nicknamed "Chameleon" because he is oh do clever with a disguise *rolls eyes* against whom the hero has a personal vendetta wasn't bad enough, now he has to go around killing innocent rabbits when his oh so clever assassination plots are foiled because he is frustrated?!? I get it. He's EVIL. No need to kill poor little rabbits. Geez...

Wait. So she has agreed to let him court her (he's a spy and needs to "protect" her from... Whatever, and very conveniently finds her irresistible) and if he can't change her mind about marriage in three months, she gets a horse she oh-so-desperately wants (which will also be hers if they do marry)? A HORSE??? I'm sure there's a perfectly okay reason for this, but for now, this set-up feels... Weird ^^

I figured if I can't focus on my fantasy book where my tired brain keeps mixing up Tamas and Taniel, something fluffy would be just the thing. And then here we have Will/ Clairemont whose best friend is Henry/ Carmichael who knows someone named Winn (last name). Yay...
