This whole book feels as if it is a chapter between the first book and the next. I don't feel like Seraphina has much relevance to the overall plot and her character feels like a waste of time.

words are starting to blur together and I find myself not caring about whether I'm actually retaining what I'm reading so it's time to put the book down for the night.
