the book is at the point where its slowing down and they are debating is the death penalty really worth it because the family shouldnt have to suffer.

he talks about his brothers jail experience and how bad he was and didnt carer like he would torture himself in prison so hurt himself and hope it would go fatser.

heb alks about how he was with his friends and having fun and wanted to know what it would be like to kill someone.what it felt like to feel someone suffer so they were out at a pond and smoking and see a guy and they go kill him and try to hide the evidence

he is going over the way his brother got put in jail and how unfair his trial was because he killed someone out of being scared and then at court he found out the person he killed was the judges father. so automatically had bad things against him on that and got put on death sentence

he is in jail and but in the lighter cell with not as bad bad people but around him are the worst of the worst. those people are mentally crazy and have nothing going for him and he got adjusted to it

he is in jail and becomes a journalist and documents everyone right before their executions. soon alot more people in the jail give him respect becasue he cares for people and trys to help.

he explains how he ended up in jail by just going downhill by his surroundings. in prison he refused the gaurds and ended up being put in the worst part of prison. he gave up on life and just didnt care anymore
