This is surprisingly fun to read!
It alludes nicely to fantasy lore without being beholden to it. And maybe inconsistent as I always thought orcs were short.
So far it’s mostly character development through the plot. Even so it specified a species prejudice to bring that topic into the storyline. But it hasn’t been mentioned since. Interestingly, and I’m not sure how, the concept is integrated in the story.
