There really are no characters because the author himself speaking is anonymous. Although the way he speaks about his experiences and development of character I guess it would be him.

I do not like how Lennie holds George back but I understand why. Lennie can't help it but yet he doesn't think at all. So far it is really good and the relationship between the two is interesting
