God, the amount of blushing cheeks- 😮‍💨

This whole "I'm sending you food and giving you cooking instructions over the phone while waiting outside your door and imagining how hot you look doing your job" thing Rowan has going on is so, so miserably unnecessary.
Hope I'll change my mind later. (I don't think I will.)

Honestly? this story makes me question the idea of relationships like this. The concept of knowing each other’s darkest parts and still choosing to stay is appealing, but the trust here feels too fast to be believable. It doesn’t just waltz into your life like that. And I can’t help but picture them as one of those “happy couples” who post cute pics together, but behind the scenes, they're about to kill one another.

Rowan's got a terrible attitude, by the way.

My favorite character so far? Lark. Absolutely Lark. We don't know much about her at this point, but after seeing a few spoilers while looking up this series, I have a feeling I might end up loving her story even more than Sloane and Rowan's.

It's kind of funny how Sloane's friend is like, "You should go out and make more friends," while Rowan's brothers are like, "Dude, what the actual fuck are you doing? She's a serial killer!"

Not only is it getting predictable, but it's also making me wonder why the dialogues feel so... try-hard? Like they're trying a little too hard to sound cool or funny. Also, why are they texting each other the details of their plans? Aren't they killers? Criminals?

Maybe dark romance is my thing after all? 😭 (I've always hated romance romance.)

The first few sentences hooked me immediately, and I really love how this story started. That said, I'm still wondering why she revealed her identity like that. It kind of makes sense... but also doesn't. Still undecided about the character introductions.
