Prior to learning about the “storms” Grim told Isla if he didnt use Lightlark’s portal they would all die on Nightshade? Why though? She didn’t know about the “storms” then. Also i don’t understand how they have to use the Lightlark portal or Isla will die. Then its said that Grim bounding his life to Isla’s is “temporary” since when? How so? It wasn’t explained well

I had a feeling the traitor was going to be Isla after the snakes showed her in the mirror with snakes (“follow the snakes”) i was annoyed when it was Lark Crown, even thought it a plot twist i felt it was a missed opportunity to where it could have been Isla not remembering/sleepwalking etc and doing all the traitorous acts and maybe spinning it that she still has dislike for Nightshade bc of the Lightlark fight

I dont get it…Azul tells Isla the ring he gave her was “imbued with a storm” and for her to use it during the Nighshade storm to trap it and then break the ring to release the storm to lead it back to the portal… but it ALREADY has a storm trapped in it…wouldn’t it lead back to that storm too? And the storm raining ore (shademetal)??? Weird choice. I’m still confused why Isla is “dying”??

I’m confused, i thought in the second book it was said that Isla’s starstick didn’t work on Nightshade (i forgot why), so why can she use it on Nightshade now?
