Martin reminds me of my idiot uncle Jimmy. He's an asshole who goes out of his way to make all of his own problems worse. There's just no talking sense into either one of them.

Ugh, I can't stand Martin. Pride is one of my least favorite sins because it prevents you from using your brain. He could probably possibly prevent his blindness if he'd just admit there's something wrong wit him.

As is usual, I find the friendships in the book far more interesting than the romance. I could care less about May's relationship with whiny Martin, all I care about is the growing friendship between her and Genny as well as her repairing the rift that is developing between her and Tobin.

I'm enjoying Summer Light more than I expected. I was disappointed when May decided to get eloped without her friend and aunt being present, but thankfully Martin was smart enough to fly them in for the elopement. Unless your marriage is a secret, I don't understand the concept of excluding your loved ones from the big day. I understand not making a big fuss, but I thought it was silly of May to exclude them.
