I know I'm being greedy, but this doesn't really feel like a "disciple x shizun" trope, considering one of them isn't a actual shizun, he only took the persona and body of a corrupted one. Currently, if this type of humor goes on excessively, I think I'll give this 3 stars. I'm wanting to read another shizun x disciple danmei (not rapist x victim nor blood-related incest) but one not transgression like this one is.

I know I'm at the very start-point but I'm honestly not really caring for the humor thats going on and just Luo Binghe's character story before Shen Yuan goes into the novel, it was all way too random and given out too suddenly. Honestly, it's been a long time since I read tgcf so I've forgotten if mxtx did this for them as well. I've gotten too used to how other danmei authors write vs how mxtx does

I'd recommend The White Cat's Divine Scratching Post. Shizun x disciple dynamic is not really the focus but it's still there 😊

I didn't find it confusing but it's maybe a little different from other xianxia/xuanhuan I've read. It focuses more on artifacts forging, which was new(ish) for me.
