The heroine has thus far been fairly Not Stupid (aside from her & the hero's absurd 'big misunderstanding,') but she suddenly decides it would be a bad idea to tell her husband that their lifelong enemy has blackmailed her into sleeping with him in exchange for Evan's life...meanwhile Evan is only one of the baddest badasses ever & fully capable of taking care of himself. *rolls eyes* So instead she lies to him about why she's going to see the uber-disgusting villain & gives him (Evan) the boot because she's sure he'll confront Myles & she's worried they'll either kill each other or Evan will end up dead. Did I mention Myles has a clubfoot & cane? Apparently she thinks he's dangerous because he raped her & slashed Evan's face with his cane handle after they scuffled.
That scene made me facepalm too. Luckily it was close enough to the end so it didn't hurt the book too much. :P
But yeah, in a contest between a gimp with a cane and Evan The Badass, Cynara's opinion that Evan would lose would crush a lesser man's self-esteem.

Yeah, her handling of the final scene with Myles helped to redeem her stupidity somewhat. But sheesh. Girl clearly has NO concept of how badass her lover is. To be fair, she didn't see him kicking the snot out of that abusive wank in Australia...but c'mon. *rolls eyes*
