I am really struggling with my feelings right now because on one hand I feel so much pity for this character but on another hand to a certain degree too much pity can end up enabling unhinged behavior and I fear we are entering the zone of unhinged. I fear being inside this man’s mind is like watching a train wreck happen with no power to stop and no ability to look away either…

Golyadkin is such a tragic character
