Finished the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” story. The movie is not the same LOL. The movie paints Holly totally differently…and the man is a simp/fool for Holly, who had implied multiple times that she is a “wild thing.” And yet he’s left alone at the end of it. Holly is independent, we know this, but also has no empathy to those in her life that give her so much

Edit: I think she does have empathy but doesn’t show it because then it would show who she truly is: a soft women from the south, someone who she doesn’t associate with anymore (or tries not to).
