I am reading Just Friends by Haley Pham (at 65%) and I have this one question. Maybe just me. Did Aunt Lottie adopted Blair’s mom or was there another family member who came with her? The way the author described Lottie coming to America sound like she came alone and didn’t get married. If she did, why there aren’t any other members mentioned?

Haniah Avery Lottie came to America alone, but I think that Blaire's mom is from the same area. Then Blaire's mom was struggling with her marriage and had to come to someone and I think it was a taking them in out of the goodness of my heart situation.
That's what I understood anyway.

Havelah McLat @hanniah yeah that would make sense but still bit unclear. How old was her great aunt Lottie. Age and when Lottie came is unclear. I guess I expect a bit of clarification. It doesn’t have to long history just a year or when it happens and age would help.
