Y'all, this book is literally making me cry, not tears of sadness or happiness, but... Pride? Catharsis? The best kind of heartbreak? God, it's so hard to talk about without straight up saying what the scene is about, but it's beautiful in a way that I literally don't have the word(s) to describe.

"Good people get hurt, bad ones walk free, and things just happen. Chaos within an infinite, spiraling cosmic circus. The only thing we can do is have faith in us, find beauty in the pain, and laugh as much as possible."

God, these live updates feel like Gone Girl all over again, although at least this book isn't completely designed around misleading.

Setting aside the Branny context of the line, I loved the Edgar suit reference. Even if it makes them HIGHLY millennial Gen Z-ers.

Man, how hard must it be for an author to effectively write characters from a generation later than them without making them have "old fashioned interests"?

Okay, I've officially gotten to the giggling and kicking my feet part of the book, and of course I love it. 😁
