When we understand that the universe doesn't revolve around us but that we are part of God's plan, the weight and pressure can come off our shoulders and be placed on God. Our confidence comes from knowing that He works everything out for our good.

The more we choose to focus our attention and obedience to God's Word, the more we will be in line with His will and provision. The opposite is also true: If we try to mix worldly ways with God's ways, we are walking ourselves toward destruction.

When we try to do things on our own, it is easy to fall away from God's plan.We must remember to seek His guidance and trust that His ways are greater than ours, even when we think we are making the best decisions.

If we are obedient to the Lord's commands, He will lead the way and fight our spiritual battles for us.

God always keeps His side of the covenant, but He also lets humans choose their fate.We can either do what He says and received blessings, or we can do things on our own and let the consequences play out.

The Mosaic covenant was for a specific group of people, but it demonstrated to them and to us that we can't live up to God's standards of holiness on our own. Then and now, we are in need of a Savior.
