They are going to hokkaido by ship!!! Hokkaido is satoru’s hometown and his parents and grandparents are burried there. Their final destination is actually sapporo, where satoru’s aunt lives. It seems like satoru’s body is getting weaker as the dogs he met on the ship said he wouldn’t make it long :(

Sugi and chikako (married). The three of them were high school mates. Both sugi and satoru were in love with chikako, and sugi begged satoru not to tell her about this feelings. Satoru understood, so sugi got the chance to be with chikako.
Sugi has a dog and apparently the dog senses some kind of discomfort coming from sugi because deeply, he still sees satoru as a rival he once beat not in a fair way.

1. Kosuke (declined): still attached to hachi, most likely wouldn’t be able to love nana the way he is. Suggested to adopt his very own cat to be taken care of with his wife.
2. Yoshimine (declined): expects cat to have hunting ability. Already has a cat, nan trained the kitten to fight. Misunderstood that they wouldn’t get along together 🤣
