Ok I think another reason for the aneurism is this book is very cynical and I sort of don’t respond to that and snark. Even if it’s well earned. Which in this case, I know too little of the subject matter to even judge anyway. Ugh. Must trudge through

Wow this book is gonna give me an aneurysm. I’m reading it to impress a WTC classmate who recommended it to me but it made me realize I actually know very little about LA history. Everything I’ve learned in the first 6 % of the book has been absolutely fucking infuriating though so great.
