not janet clocking abby’s mommy issues and realizing she NEEDS mrs bondy to be a good person bc she needs a mother figure to cling to

interesting theme here again abt mrs bondy not actually being a good person / mother and the idea of what kind of care do old people “deserve” is it based on what they gave to you in life as a parent

it was losing me in the middle there but we shall see abt the ending now that there is direction again

poor abby is getting more delusional

i am liking the themes in this book though! and kind of wish i were reading it in a book club to discuss

ralph and abby are weird but in a compatible they’re so made for each other weird kind of way

some of this is written like a play! which i enjoy. i like the themes being explored here and the myriad mother - child (ish) dynamics represented, grief, mental health, childhood shaping your adulthood etc
