I don’t know if I can actually finish this book - and I just started. Everything about it makes me feel like I can’t breathe. It’s all my worst nightmare. I don’t want to calculate what makes a good mother. I don’t want to judge a parent, even fictional, for events like this. But I find I can’t help it and I don’t want to sit in that. Maybe I’ll push through. On page 30 for reference.
