I was only able to access this book through audiobook :(
The author is the narrator- delivery flat, and I'm not sure if I'm liking it. So far, the story is interesting, but I'm not a huge fan of the writing style- but it is genuinely unsettling. The characters give 1950s if you get what I mean- and the main character (the dad) says some really icky things at times- piss is mentioned too much for my liking lol

Okay- there's a twist in here, very similar to "The Eyes are the Best Part" but it seems like it's not stopping there- it's real (?)
The animal death wasn't entirely unexpected, but it does piss me off- that THAT is what it took to be taken seriously. Honestly, all of these characters are awful.

This took a turn I was not expecting- yes, he is WAY in the wrong (behavior is BAD) but also...why keep the couch? The wife is also acting psycho- get rid of it AND hold him accountable???
