It’s nuts to me that the vet + wife were giving their cats a bowl of milk like every day, when I thought cats aren’t supposed to drink cow’s milk regularly.

Solicitude- the state of being concerned or anxious, attentive care or protectiveness

Bête noire- a person or thing strongly detested or avoided

Mellifluous- having a smooth rich flow
Contralto- singing voice between tenor and messo-soprano

Obstreperous- unruly, stubbornly resists control

Ribald- lewd, crude, offensive
