I’m a little disappointed that the situations in this book are so extreme. I’ve worked with CPS at my long time professional career and they certainly aren’t perfect but so many problems here. Janie never having a birth certificate and even after CPS was involved they didn’t help, this would have meant she could have gotten lots of services services.
