Marvellous first few chapters, setting the stage for a great adventure for Boone. I realized that I have actually read this author before - a lively Mystery called Wild Pitch. I read a bit of the Intro to The Big Sky in my edition, by Wallace Stegner, because I loved Stegner's novel Angle of Repose...but he was getting into plot details and themes, and I want to experience the novel without advance word.
