Ah. The “woman throwing themselves to the male protagonist”plot typical to HM books.

The guy’s disappointed because his GF didn’t go to Tokyo Univ. the more prestigious university than the Women’s univ. in Kobe. In 1960s Japan.

I know I can’t blame him for this, but it bothers me how HM’s books lacks women’s perspective. He doesn’t even TRY to imagine it.

I don’t know how to put it, but HM’s books feel like “books written for men” by the way his male characters treat women.
I want to read a companion story from this GF’s point of view.

If you think of someone enough, you’re sure to meet them again.

Now he had to make the story REALLY sexual. Sigh.

Okay. This retelling of “metamorphosis” is interesting, but why can’t this author tell a story without mentioning genitals and pubic hairs???? Ugh.
