Okay I really wanted to rate this one 4/5 like all the other Ann Liang books by I just couldn't get behind the whole Xishi-Fanli ship bc it was so underdeveloped. It was just them both thinking the other person was fine shyte even though that was literally THEIR WHOLE THING and then suddenly they're in love?!?! Tbh I was shipping Xishi more with Fuchai bc they actually had proper development. Also I hated the ending
