I like the book so far trough chapter one. The main character Holling Hoodhood is just convinced that his teacher hates him. His house is considered the Perfect House with a couch covered in plastic and carpet no one can walk on. When he told his dad that his teacher hates him his dad said that he works for their company so he can't do anything.

I just finish reading January. Doug Swietchks brother hung up picture all over the school of him jumping like a fairy. His sister got really mad at him and now she is embarrassed by that. Then it starts to get colder and Mrs. Bigio came to there classroom and gave the kids hot chocolate except Mai Thi. Then a snow storm hit and the Hoodhoods had to say in the cold house

Then during recess Holling accidentally tripped his friends brother and everybody thinks it was on purpose. Then after that during class he got called to the principal office and the principal said he had to repeat six grade math if he didn't get his grade up.
