I always enjoy these books, and like how the characters develop over the books. I also like how the author alludes enough to previous books for the loyal readers, but the books are complete enough to stand on their own even if you have never read any of the previous books.

I love the author's description of fat Galahad running around with the bell and bow on his collar. My favorite character has long been the damn cat.

I accidentally bought the large print version of this book, but it makes it easy to read. My eyes aren't what they used to be, so maybe I should buy the large print more often. Starts off around Christmas time, which is always a busy time for Homicide cops.
