Tried this twice before (DNF in Sept, finished but didn’t really absorb in Jan). Reread attempt #3 and I actually liked it a lot. Still some inconsistency in dialogue maturity, especially in the first half, but it wasn’t distracting this time. This read more like a controlled power/identity narrative with layered trauma dynamics. No idea what changed, but it registered differently this time.
