I think this author has a problem of always mentioning trout during romantic scenes, like there was that one traumatic trout line from the last book and now in this one she’s describing Jamie’s eyes as “cloudy as a trout pool in the rain.” She just always has trout on the mind or something ig. I’m on board for fish references ofc, but why is it always trout specifically? Why are there no salmon mentions?
