If I could step into my book the first thing I would do would be talk to Mary and try and help her learn to stop being so uptight about everything and start enjoying life and living in the moment. When Mary's friend asks her to go out to lunch, but Mary won't go because she wants to stay and work on her case, even though it is going no where. All Mary does is worry and obsess over the future and the past.

"Killer Smile" has a very different plot compared to "The Best of Me". So far "Killer Smile" is about a young widowed lawyer who is interested in a case about an Italian immigrant. Where as my last book was focused on the past and current relationship between the two main characters. One similarity is Mary, in my current book lost her husband and Amanda loses Dawson at the end of "The Best of Me".

"The brick facade needed repointing..."
Facade-The face of a building
"The women's aged hand fluttered to a thin house dress of incongruously cheery red checks...
Incongruously- Not in harmony or keeping with the surroundings or other aspects of something
