I just finished this book today, and it sooo good! I would totally recommend it to anyone who likes books like To Kill a Mockingbird or The Secret Life of Bees. It's about a girl (Caucasian) who writes a book based on interviews with 13 black women who are employed as maids in Jackson Mississippi during the civil rights era. They do it all in secret because of the danger that is involved... I'll stop there because along the way there are a lot of surprises and I don't want to give away too much :)
That does sound very interesting. I bet they have a lot to say about the head of those great estates.
