I've started to see multiple variations and overlaps of Joseph Campbell's "Hero's Journey" within 3 characters so far: Kvothe, the classic hero as of yet. Tehlu as a subplot hero that goes through the cycle through storytelling within framed narration, and finally Lanre as another subplot hero within framed narration; both of which ending in varying resurrection.
