the literal theme of this book is finding the purpose of your life there is a section entitled God Wants To Use You its says "David dedicated his life to fulfilling God's purposes on earth." then is saying imagine how fulfilling that would be to know that you have worked for God. This makes the reader get out there and find their purpose. "When fulfilling your purposes seems tough, dont give in to discouragement."

At this point in the book it is giving the reader ideas and common excuses about why people do not read the Bible. it is saying that if the reader would dedicate only 15 minutes a day then, the bible could be read all the way through in 1 year. Imagine if we all would take time away from tv and read the bible one thirty minute show cut out would allow us to read it twice in a year!

This book has been a great reference and gives great ideas on how we should as Christians the chapter i am on is talking about building a relationship,"Most shocking truth is this: Almighty God yearns to be your friend" just showing that we are just a little spec in the world and he still cares about us as we do and he is much greater than us all.
