This passage had some gruesome details! The tightrope is about to walk over the valley of death where babies were burned alive in a ritual sacrifice 😱 p 153. The bird imagery continues to be strong and I am putting little gull signs on passages where birds are spoken of.

The bird narratives are quite horrific. Pigeons used as bait to lure falcons by boys under thatched ditches. And the Prometheus scan of trained eagles pecking prisoners to death on page 101 - with a silver cross around their necks! 🫣😳
