Every YA-adjacent fantasy novel is like “He was crafty, cunning, sharp-tongued, the most intimidating fighter/assassin/wizard in the realm, feared by even the highest ranked politicians. He is 18 years old.” Y’all know you can have protagonists be over 20, right? Sorry but I’ll be imagining every one of these characters as 30+ with the amount of life experience they’re supposed to have. You cannot stop me.

Fun fact: The duology was secretly rereleased and updated by removing their ages to match the Netflix series (the actors are in their twenties). However, it did get backlash as well because people felt like them being so young made their stories more tragic XD
