I’m confused. I honestly think the subtitle of this book is extremely deceiving. The first 3 short essays/short stories were really on brand with the theme; however, at this point the book has lost me.

Most of these short stories are just short stories by Mexican American authors, which I love, but they don’t really touch much on the themes I was hoping for, like identity, culture, or what it’s really like to grow up Mexican in America. Idk.
