Right now, Adam Trask has just returned to his home to live with his brother Charles Trask. They have a lot of news to share with each other and discuss some important things. I like this book a lot so far. The stories of the characters are really interesting, and also relatable. I also like how it switches between stories, though I think the switches should be more frequent because its easy to forget whats going on.

Like Of Mice and Men, the book starts off with a very detailed description of the setting, which is Salinas Valley. The main characters are being introduced, as well as their backgrounds. This book is okay so far. The backstories of the chararcters are pretty interesting.
